Texas Hold Em'

Heather hung out with Daniel and I this afternoon. Daniel taught Heather and I how to play texas hold em', which I found a lot more fun than 21. We used starburst jellybeans as currency. We are not sure who won, because by the end all the grape starburst where eaten and half of the strawberry. Good times.

Lazy Saturday

Today was a lazy day. I spent the day playing with Jacob and trying to get him to crawl. He is such a funny little boy. His screeching high pitch sound he makes when he is exited and happy is slightly deafening. His cry on the other hand is not extremely loud and I am glad for that. We went bowling, which was tons of fun. I actually bowled a 101, and if you know my skills you will be so proud of me. Dan on the other hand is a lot like my dad with his form and accuracy and got a significantly higher score.

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a great Easter! We went over to my parents house and had a nice relaxing Easter afternoon. Because Jacob isn't old enough to do the Easter egg hunt we got to take it easy and hang out. Dad barbecued steak, which was so tasty. And ate the wonderfully decorated egg cake that Rachel and I made. We fed Jacob Cheerios for the first time, it was funny to watch because he hated the taste but liked the funky texture. Richie and Daniel went out and threw the football around, while Mom and I watched ( I actually let Jacob be outside! It is finally warm enough ) I am so ready for good warm weather!

Diet Dew

Jacob's new favorite toy, an empty Dew bottle. After all the times he has seen Daniel with one, He has found that it is a desired possession and loves playing with it. I have decided to let Jacob have Cheerios, after much convincing of my mom. Because she has been spearheading the Cheerio feeding we are going to let her give him the first Cheerios this weekend. Hopefully it goes better than when we tried to feed him squash.

Jacob's First Taste

Jacob is now Eating Cereal! He is doing so well, as long as he doesn't get his hands on the spoon or decide that he would rather eat the highchair rather than the food. I have started mixing in a little of Gerber peas, and he really liked it. We tried fresh pureed squash at my parents house and it didn't go so well, what we got in his mouth was thrown up. He has the cutest disgusted face, to bad we didn't have a camera. Here are some pictures of his first taste of cereal.

The End Of The Season

The pheasant hunting season is almost over. Daniel and most of the men in the family are going for their last sha-bang this Saturday. Here are some pictures of the Last pheasant Shooting trip.
