Pumkin Patch

Daniel was able to be home earlier today than normal, so we decided to go down to the Vineyard Pumpkin Patch. Jacob had fun running around and looking at all the pumpkins, his favorite was the Halloween version of the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. But he seemed to like it despite the pumkin's odd look. He had to touch every pumpkin he saw and loved running up and down the rows of pumpkins. It was so much fun hanging out with my little family!

Chili Cookoff

I would just like to take a moment to remember last week, and the Chili cook off... that I won. I would like to also let people know a another competition that took place that night. We had an Ice cream eating contest. One person had to eat the ice-cream while their partner fed it to them. Daniel and I where disqualified because we cheated. ( Daniel was too slow of an ice-cream eater so I decided to start eating some... no one said that wasn't allowed.) Richie started to get a major brain freeze, so the winner was Jim and Rachel! Jim is an ice-cream eating machine! And I have never seen anyone shove food into someone else’s face with such veracity like Rachel. So hats off to you!

Sunday Dinner

We had a Glassford family dinner tonight. My Grandparents are moving back down to Las Vegas for the winter, so this was the last dinner with them till next year. David and family where able to come up. It was the first time I had actually seen Luke since the incident, he looked so happy and was walking great. Braden was so cute and small! Daniel and I took turns holding him, he is so light compared to Jacob. My Dad had to stop a water fight between Grandma and my Mom, I wouldn't be surprised if my grandma throws a cup of water on my mom later tonight as a loving good bye gesture. Daniel had fun playing with Jacob and wrestling with him. He is such a great Daddy!

Look... There is an orb! My parent house is haunted!

Pheasant Hunting Trip

Last Friday Daniel went pheasant hunting with his Dad and brother David. He had lots of fun hanging out with his Brother who came out to Utah to be sworn in as a Lawyer. (Congratulations Dave!) Daniel got 2 birds and only had to shoot once! And his Dad bagged himself 2 birds, one shot each. Dave, got 3 birds with his brand new shotgun, he also caught a monster fish later that day. One of the biggest Trout I have ever seen caught by a fisherman.

Boo at the Zoo

We went up to Boo at the Zoo this year, and I don’t think we will ever go again. Don’t get me wrong, I love the zoo. We have fun looking at the animals and hanging out with family. But when the Zoo has three times the people they normally do and they are all dressed up… it was a pure chaos thrown into a blender and turned on high. It was fun strolling around in a Halloween mob with the family, and have many memories. Only one child got lost and no one was bitten by a tiger ( or a vampire), so overall, it was a success.

Lime!

Our little family went out to lunch with my Mother-in-Law and Sister-in-law April, and as always Dan asked for a lime with his drink. Daniel always asks if he can give Jacob the lime but until now I have always said no, as he wasn't old enough. I finally caved and we let him have the lime. It was fun to watch, but he didn't do any sour faces. He sat there for twenty minutes just playing and eating the lime. He had a few funny faces, it was entertaining to watch.

UEA Weekend

My family had a long weekend and we had fun hanging out and playing. We had a huge Chili Cook off on Saturday, there where five people who made chili and everyone had to vote for their favorites. I totally won, but to be honest they all tasted really good. And I am excited for the next challenge! We also let Jacob romp around in his Halloween costume. he is the cutest lion! He will actually keep his mane on, which is amazing.

Jacob's Birthday

Jacob had his birthday a week ago. We had hamburgers and had some family over for Sunday dinner to celebrate. Jacob got a lot of cute toys and books. Since this was the second cake Jacob got to have ( We had a birthday party with Daniel's side earlier) We thought he would dive right in and eat, but he slowly picked of sprinkles. Finally after much coaxing, he started to hit the cake, and get icing on his hands. He didn't even get any cake because he was too enthralled with the icing.

It is Jacob's Birthday!

Jacob is now 1 year old! He got to have a birthday party with his cousin this past weekend, and got his first taste of cake! I will try to put a video of him eating his cake this weekend. He had his one year check up and I was shocked at what the doctor told us, they said he was in the 5 percentile when it comes to weight! So my child has not one ounce of fat on him, it isn't because a lack of food. He is such an active baby the only time he is just sitting still is when he is sleeping or reading books. My baby is growing up so fast!
