Trip to the Zoo

We decided to go to the Zoo this Monday and see all the animals. Richie is staying with us for a few days so he got to come along and spend some time with us and his little nephew. Daniel's parents where also able to join us, which was a treat. Jacob really loved looking at the animals so much, that we had a hard time taking pictures of him because he would not stop looking at the animals to look at the camera. The Bald Eagle looks like he is going to eat Jacob for a snack!

Richie with the White Rhino
Jacob and the Giraffe are having a moment. This particular giraffe is one month younger than Jacob.

Last week was great! Daniel had the week off and it was so nice to have him around. On Wednesday Daniel and his Dad went up to Hunington Creek and went fly fishing. Dan hadn't ever been real fly fishing, so he started out slow. By the end of the Day he had it down. Between the both of them they caught 42 fish.
Friday We went to the Steel Days Carnival with my Mother-In-Law. It was so cute to see Jacob on the Carousel, he liked the horses. He also got to ride his first roller coaster. He loved it, but I only let him ride it once.

My Dad is one year older! We celebrated his birthday this past Sunday. He blew all of his candles out in one blow, he has good lungs. Which is surprising for someone that age!

We went up to the cabin this weekend with my family! It was tons of fun, we saw deer and herd of elk while riding the four wheelweelers. Dan, Dad and Rachel claim to have seen a cougar while searching for a bear. One of the funnest things was the horseshoe competitions. Grandma and Grandpa even played. Daniel and Rachel came out victoriously! They won two out of three games against the second place team...my Dad and Mom.

Here are some highlights!

Swimming at the Scott's

Today Jacob and I went to Aunt Kim's house to swim. This was Jacob's first experience in a swimming pool and he did great! He loved splashing the water. Kim showed us how to teach him to go underwater, it went well, but by the third time he had enough. We are very proud of our little swimmer! After that we played on the grass, Jacob liked petting Roxy.
Here is a video of Jacob playing in the pool, along with one of all the kids doing lifts.
